PRE-PURCHASE SURVEY
This is the most comprehensive type of inspection and is strongly advised when purchasing a new or used vessel. Condition and overall operation of the vessel will be examined. This covers structural integrity, electrical systems, the propulsion system, the fuel system, other machinery, navigation equipment, miscellaneous onboard systems, cosmetic appearance, electronics, and overall maintenance as well as out-of-water inspection and a trial run.
A pre-purchase marine survey is conducted on a vessel prior to its purchase, aimed at identifying any existing issues, assessing overall condition, and estimating market value. This process involves a thorough inspection of the boat's structural integrity, mechanical systems, and safety equipment, as well as a review of documentation and maintenance records. Surveys can vary in scope, from a visual examination to more detailed assessments, including trial runs and engine tests. Physical inspection and testing of the engines are part of our survey. Fault codes are read where possible. Separate engine surveys by factory trained mechanics are recommended in addition to our survey inspection of all mechanical systems and is contracted separately. The resulting report provides potential buyers with critical information to make informed decisions, negotiate price adjustments, or determine the need for repairs before finalizing a purchase
