ENGINE OIL ANALYSIS
Oil Analysis identifies and measures contaminates if any, such as unburned fuel, anti-freeze, fresh or salt water, carbon and dirt and metals in the oil. Wear metals can help determine problems in the engine. If you choose to include an optional oil analysis, please allow 10 business days for lab results and report as we contract with an outside service. Marine engine oil analysis is a critical process used to assess the condition and performance of marine engines. This analysis involves collecting samples of oil from the engine and examining them for various indicators, such as wear metals, contaminants, and chemical properties. By evaluating these factors, marine engineers can identify potential issues, assess oil degradation, and determine the optimal intervals for oil changes. Regular oil analysis not only helps in prolonging engine life and ensuring reliable operations but also aids in reducing maintenance costs and enhancing overall fuel efficiency. Implementing a routine oil analysis program is essential for effective marine equipment management.
